The man who died in this mornings house fire at Glanmire, Co. Cork has been named as 28 year old Kieran Mc Carthy from The Acres, Brooklodge, Glanmire.
The victim's father was taken to hospital with injuries sustained in the fire. Two units of the Cork city fire service fought the blaze and it is understood the kitchen and the rest of the bungalow was severely damaged.
Mr McCarthy died at the scene.
The Garda forensic team is investigating the cause of the fire.
