Flora TV advert banned: An advert for spreadable butter featuring celebrity chef Gary Rhodes has been banned for a misleading use of statistics.
The TV ad for Flora Buttery stated that more people preferred its taste to that of Lurpak Lighter Spreadable. But the claim was based on research featuring just 200 participants. The British Advertising Standards Authority found this number too small to support a “preference” claim.
