Little lenses: A US division of health supplies company Johnson Johnson has decided the best way to increase contact lens sales is to decrease the minimum age limit from 15 to eight.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the JJ sponsored study says it's safe, and that short-sighted children wearing lenses would get more enjoyment out of sports and have higher levels of self-esteem. Some ophthalmologists, however, have expressed concern that allowing children to wear lenses would create a real risk of infection.
