British software company Logica said today its markets remained positive and it was confident of strong performance for the year. It reported interim results above analysts' forecasts.
It made a pre-tax profit for the half year of euro 101.7 million compared with analysts' forecasts of euro 97.4 million.
Revenues for the company, which has seen strong growth in its telecoms billing in recent years, rose 25 per cent to euro 792 million.
Logica shares closed yesterday at £15.95 - around half their year highs. They have outperformed the software sector in London by some 80 per cent in the last 12 months.
