British comedian Eddie Izzard has been banned from driving in Northern Ireland for three months after pleading guilty at Limavady Magistrates Court yesterday to driving without due care and attention last June. Izzard (37), of D'Arbley Street, London, was also fined £200 after the magistrate, Ms Bernadette Kelly, described his offence as being at "the higher end of careless driving". Ms Kelly said she had no authority to impose penalty points on Izzard, who did not attend the court.
