Kim Clijsters spoiled Samantha Reeves's Wimbledon hopes for a second year in a row today, beating the American 6-1 6-2 to reach the fourth round.
The Belgian second seed, who has dropping only seven games in three matches this week, took 50 minutes to beat Reeves, who she beat in the first round last year.
Clijsters raced into a 5-0 lead before conceding a game to her opponent, who is ranked 109 in the world.
She allowed Reeves the first two games of the second set but then rattled off the next six.
Clijsters will play her doubles partner Ai Sugiyama in the fourth round on Monday.
Venus Williams thumped her way past Russia's Nadia Petrova 6-1 6-2 and will play Vera Zvonareva in the fourth round.
Former champion Lindsay Davenport coasted into the fourth round with a 6-2 6-2 win over Zimbabwe's Cara Black.
Play at the championships, meanwhile, has been suspended due to rain.
