The 12th Galway Film Fleadh goes into its last two days with a packed international programme. Today's highlights include two film-related documentaries A Conversation With Gregory Peck (right, in To Kill a Mocking- bird) and Patrick Carey - Film-maker, along with the Irish premiere of writer Conor McPherson's directing debut, Saltwater, with Peter McDonald, Brian Cox and Conor Mullen, and Yugoslav director Goran Paskaljevic's powerful Belgrade-set drama, The Powder Keg.
Tomorrow's programme includes Abbas Kiarostami's The Wind Will Carry Us from Iran; three Patrick Carey films (Waves, Errigal and Yeats County); a public interview with Brendan Gleeson; Sinead O'Brien's documentary, Brian Friel; and the closing film, the world premiere of Kevin Liddy's rural family drama, Country, featuring Gary Lydon, Lisa Harrow, Des Cave, Pat Laffan and Dean Pritchard.
