A An audience favourite at the Cannes Film Festival in May where it received the award for Un Certain Regard Beautiful People introduces a notable new talent in its Bosnian-raised, London-based writer-director, Jasmin Dizdar. Set in London in 1993, this multi-charactered scenario opens as a Serb and a Croat recognise each other on a bus and a vicious fight immediately breaks out. The film spreads its net to deal with the interlinked fates of its characters and with a range of themes from immigrant alienation to overworked hospital staff, Tory lifestyles, class divisions and soccer hooliganism. The cast includes Charlotte Coleman (right).
