International cities provide the linking theme in OCEAN Movies on the Square, an attractive programme of free, open-air movies organised by Temple Bar Properties and screening at dusk every Saturday night from tonight until September 4th in Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin. Each of the films will be preceded by a recent Irish short film.

Berlin is the setting for tonight's presentation, the Wim Wenders movie, Wings of Desire, (right) showing with Paddy Jolley's short film, Seven Days Til Sunday. Features showing over the Saturdays ahead are Jack Conway's 1935 version of A Tale of Two Cities (June 26th), Vincente Minnelli's An American in Paris (July 3rd), Howard Hawks's' The Big Sleep (July 10th), Federico Fellini's Roma (July 17th), Barry Levinson's Diner (July 24th), Gene Saks's Barefoot in the Park (July 31st), Whit Stillman's Barcelona (August 7th), Carol Reed's The Third Man (August 14th), John Sayles's City of Hope (August 21st), Woody Allen's Manhattan (August 28th), and closing the season, Curtis Hanson's L.A. Confidential (September 4th). All screenings are free but ticketed. Tickets are available at Temple Bar Properties, 18 Eustace Street, Dublin 2, from the Monday proceeding each screening.
