A nine-year-old girl was killed yesterday when she was hit by a refuse collection truck while cycling near her home outside Westport, Co Mayo. Cara Comiskey, of Lodge Road, Westport, died at the scene of the accident which happened at Corratowick at 12.40 p.m.
