EDINBURGH - Archaeologists yesterday dug up what they strongly suspect is Scotland's proper Braveheart - the real heart of a Scottish hero king.

Experts in Edinburgh will establish today whether the heart is that of Robert the Bruce, legendary 14th century champion of Scottish independence. A modern biscuit tin sized casket, which they believe contains a smaller ancient casket containing his heart, was dug up at Melrose Abbey in the Scottish borders.
