Bradford striker Benito Carbone has today performed a dramatic U-turn and agreed to join Middlesbrough on loan until the end of the season.

Carbone yesterday met with Boro boss Steve McClaren to discuss a move to the northeast but seemed adamant he would only sign for the Premiership relegation-strugglers on a permanent basis.

However, the 30-year-old, not for the first time in his career, has now had a change of heart and will sign for Middlesbrough in the morning in time for him to make his debut against Leeds at the Riverside on Saturday.
