Gardaí seized cannabis in Cork city yesterday as part of investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs in northwest Cork.
Gardaí from Togher found six kilos of cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €120,000 when they stopped a car at Pouladuff Road at about 4pm.
A man (40) was arrested and taken to Togher Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
He was released last night without charge, pending a file to the DPP.
