The PSNI is maintaining a presence in east Belfast today following two consecutive nights of clashes between nationalist and loyalist groups.
Around 100 people clashed last night in the Mountpottinger and Albert Bridge areas of the city with rival groups throwing stones at each other.
There were no reports of injuries.
It was the second night of disturbances in east Belfast. On Sunday evening, a crowd of around 60 people were involved in clashes and three police vehicles were damaged in the same area.
A PSNI spokesperson said calm had now been restored to the area but that it would maintain a presence there to monitor the situation.
