The Air Corps flew five air ambulance missions to Britain and mainland Europe in a 60-hour period this week.
The missions included taking a new-born baby in an incubator to Prague, the Czech capital, for specialist oesophageal treatment, and flying a teenager to London for a liver transplant.
A child with immune system difficulties requiring specialist attention was also flown to Newcastle in England. The child’s grandfather is a serving member of the Air Corps.
