Ireland's Andrew Bree narrowly missed out on a medal at the European Short Course swimming championships in Germany this afternoon.
Competing in the men's 200 metre breaststroke final, Bree was in the top three coming down the final length but was touched off for bronze at the death.
Bree set a new Irish senior record time of 2.10.70.
Italian Davide Rummolo claimed the gold in a time of 2:07.70.
