Newcastle have completed the signing of Ipswich defender Titus Bramble.
The England Under-21 player had to delay his move - believed to be for around Stg£5 million - because of an ankle problem but the club have confirmed he finally signed a contract this morning.
"While I am sad to be leaving Ipswich Town, I am thrilled to be joining such a massive club as Newcastle United," said Bramble, who is reunited with former team-mate Kieron Dyer at St James' Park.
"There are some terrific players here, a tremendous manager and I cannot wait for the new season to start," he told the club's official website, www.nufc.co.uk.
Newcastle boss Sir Bobby Robson, said of his latest acquisition: "I am delighted that Titus will be part of our squad next season.
"He is a powerfully built lad who has the potential to achieve great things in the game."
