The author of a new book on the Orange Order has described the 117-mile "Long March" as "unwise".
Speaking after the launch of her book, The Faithful Tribe, in Belfast yesterday, Ms Ruth Dudley Edwards said the march organisers would not be able to control some of its so-called supporters, who were only "out to cause trouble".
But she added: "I understand the motivation behind the march. For 30 years these people have heard about Catholic civil rights". Ms Dudley Edwards said her book was borne out of the many personal encounters she had had with ordinary Orangemen and women.
