The 1996 Proceedings of the Blackrock Society has been published and is available from local bookshops and usual outlets. Edited by John Stafford, this is the fourth volume to be published by the society, which was formed to promote interest in the historical and archeological heritage of the Co Dublin town.
The 1996 Proceedings include a history of Blackrock House and the Lees family, a history of Lios an Uisce, an overview of the life of Valentine Browne Lawless, Lord Cloncurry and a survey of the Drumm battery trains, precursors in the 1930s of suburban rail electrification.
