Rome - The wife of controversial Zambian Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo went to the Vatican's Saint Peter's Square in a wheelchair on the fifth day of a hunger strike yesterday and prayed to be reunited with her husband.
"She can no longer stand up and went to pray outside the Vatican basilica in a wheelchair," said the South Korean ambassador, Mr Yang Il-Bae who has been mediating between Archbishop Milingo's Korean wife, Dr Maria Sung, and the Vatican, which bans Catholic clergy from marrying.
