The daughter of former Boomtown Rats frontman and Live Aid founder Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates has named her first child Astala.
The model announced the birth on social networking site Twitter, writing: “Yes, its true – I’m a mummy!!!!” She then added: “My little boy is the most beautiful thing in this world. When he holds tomfromscum’s finger with his hand it’s the sweetest thing ever. X”
Thomas Cohen, Peaches’ fiance and lead singer of band Scum, is the child’s father.
Peaches’ publicist Max Dundas confirmed the new arrival, saying: “Peaches and Thomas are delighted to announce the birth of their son, Astala. Both were overjoyed at his arrival this week.” – (PA)
