A British Airways flight from the US to Britain made an unscheduled landing at Shannon Airport in Ireland early this morning after smoke was detected in the cabin.
The flight was en route from Philadelphia to London Heathrow and was around 1,000 km from Shannon when an alert was sounded and the pilot requested the emergency landing.
The plane landed safely at around 6am at the airport.
