Telecoms equipment maker Avaya said today its profits from continuing operations had more than doubled.
The profits came in ahead of Wall Street estimates, as Avaya continued its restructuring after its spinoff from Lucent Technologies last year.
Fiscal second-quarter profitsrose to $78 million from $37 million.
Avaya, which makes technology for operator call centres and cabling systems for corporate campuses, employs over 200 people in Ireland.

It said reported revenues were $1.852 billion, down from $1.945 billion in the same period last year.
