London - Author Tom Carew yesterday threatened legal action against the BBC's Newsnight after the programme questioned claims he had been a member of Britain's SAS forces.
Tom Carew's book Jihad! is described as an account of his experiences training Afghan guerrillas fighting Soviet forces in the 1980s. Mr Carew walked out of an interview when asked a question a former member of 22 SAS should have been able to answer. A crew followed Mr Carew, who allegedly pushed a cameraman. He later regretted that a camera fell during the incident.
