Vienna - Austrians will decide in a referendum whether their neutral country will join NATO, Chancellor Viktor Klima said yesterday in an interview with APA agency. Austria's two ruling parties, the Social Democratic Party and the conservative People's Party, are deeply divided over the NATO issue. If "the government and the parliament are in favour of joining NATO, the people will have to decide through a referendum", Chancellor Klima said.
