Attraction made all the running to become the first filly to complete the English and Irish 1000 Guineas double at the Curragh today.

Mark Johnston's filly was sent off the 2-1 favourite for the Boylesports Irish 1000 Guineas and her victory never looked in doubt as she blazed a trail down the centre of the track.

Her rivals tried to go with her as Kevin Darley kicked on in the final furlong but Attraction pulled away to finish a length in front of Alexander Goldrun.

Attraction was supplemented for the race at a cost of €40,000 on Tuesday and that confidence was justified as she held the late challenge of the 8-1 runner-up.

The David Loder-trained Illustrious Miss, who was also supplemented for the race, came with a late run to claim third from Pat Haslam's Kinnaird in fourth.

Earlier, Powerscourt took the Group One Tattersalls Gold Cup in fine style.  Aidan O'Brien's four-year-old was making his seasonal bow in the extended 10-furlong race, and jockey Jamie Spencer had him smartly into his stride and set a steady early pace.

Turning for home, Powerscourt still had the verdict over Godolphin's runner Naheef but Spencer kicked on and the son of Sadler's Wells quickly moved clear.

Although Livadiya launched a late challenge down the outside, she was never going to get to the 100-30 second favourite as he powered home by six lengths.

Nysaean, who is trained by Richard Hannon, was sent off the 9-10 favourite but he could finish no better than third.
