Raiders armed with a gun, a knife and a hatchet have robbed a post office in Co Roscommon.
The owner of the post office and shop in Ballinlough, a man in his 40s, was held up by three masked men at 8.30am.
They tied him up and stole a sum of money. “The alarm was raised when a member of staff came to work a short time later”, a Garda spokesman said.
No one was injured during incident. Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone with information to contact them on 094 9621630.
