Gardaí investigating the murder of a man on a Dublin street during rush-hour traffic today appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Officers investigating the shooting of Raymond Collins (42) on November 14th at Clonliffe Avenue, Dublin 3 called for a man walking his dog to make contact .

"The man is believed to be in his late 30's or early 40's and was walking a small terrier dog on a leash," a Garda spokesman said.

Mr Collins, from Matt Talbot Court in Dublin's north inner city, was gunned down by a pillion passenger on a motorbike at around 5 pm as he walked down the road near his home.
