Antrim firm wins Bus Éireann contract

A Co Antrim firm has won a €11.5 million contract to supply 48 single-deck buses for Bus Éireann.

A Co Antrim firm has won a €11.5 million contract to supply 48 single-deck buses for Bus Éireann.

Wright Group, which is based in Ballymena, will also supply Dublin Bus with a prototype hybrid-electric double-decker vehicle in a major boost for cross-Border co-operation and sustainable transport.

Minister for Transport Martin Cullen visited the factory today to announce the investment.

The buses will be going to Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford.
