A protest is planned to take place at Shannon Airport this weekend to demonstrate opposition to the use of the airport by the US military.

Organised by the Irish Anti-War movement, the demonstrators hope to place a blockade on the airport, which they say has been used by nearly 100,000 US troops this year.

Organisers have called on the public to attend the protest in Shannon on December 6th.
