LONDON The second of three winners sharing a record £42 million British lottery jackpot came forward yesterday, leaving one winning ticket holder still unidentified.

Lottery operator Camelot said the second winner, like the first, asked to remain anonymous, a wish that must by law be respected.

Saturday's double roll over jackpot on which nine out of every 10 adults in Britain had a go was the largest in the history of the 14 month old lottery, which has proved one of the most successful, and criticised, in the world.
