An Air Corps aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing today after smoke was discovered in its cabin.
The CASA aircraft, which had been on maritime patrol off the south-west coast, was diverted to Kerry Airport at about 10.55am.
A specialist team was deployed from Baldonnel in Dublin to carry out a technical examination of the aircraft, which landed without incident.
A Defence Forces spokesman said all six crew were safe and well.
