An application is to be made in the High Court today seeking to have the Eastern Health Board publicly outline its part, if any, in the publication by The Irish Times this week of Ms Justice Laffoy's judgment in the case involving the unlawful custody of Baby A.

It will be made before Mrs Justice McGuinness by Dr Michael Forde, SC, for the pregnancy counselling agency, which was held to have acted inappropriately and reprehensibly in the attempted private adoption of Baby A and another infant.

To date the High Court, or any party involved in the proceedings, has not sought nor been given openly in court any information as to who made the application to Ms Justice Laffoy seeking, in the public interest, publication of an edited version of her judgment.
