Andre Agassi finally edged out Max Mirnyi to book his place in the semi-finals of the US Open.
Agassi came from behind against his Belarussian opponent to advance to the last four in a hard-fought 6-7, 6-3, 7-5, 6-3 victory.
The American raised his game after losing the first set, taking advantage of almost every opportunity and setting up a match against defending champion Lleyton Hewitt.
Agassi said: "I thought it was a high-standard match from start to finish. The first set I let slip away. I had a couple of opportunities. In the end, he raised his game and won the right points. In the second set, he donated a few opportunities back to me".
