An Aer Lingus loader who stole duty free goods has been given a one year suspended sentence by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
Martin Gibson (39), married but separated, with an address at Cross Guns Quay, Dublin pleaded guilty to stealing perfumes, toiletries, spirits and jewellery from Aer Lingus on a date unknown between May 1st and July 26th 1994.
Gibson admitted stealing the goods in his work as an Aer Lingus loader. The total value was £662.
Mr Hugh Hartnett, defending, said his client had been suspended without pay since his arrest. He would lose his entitlements as a result of his conviction.
