An Irish missionary abducted in Sierra Leone more than two months ago has been released unharmed, it was disclosed last night.
Brother Noel Bradshaw (49) a Christian Brother from Co. Laois, disappeared in the west African state on February 28th along with other aid workers.
It was believed they were being held by the rebel Revolutionary United Front in Makeni, but the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Andrews, disclosed last night that Brother Bradshaw had returned safely.
Mr Andrews paid tribute to the Honorary Consul-General of Ireland in Freetown, Dr Wadi Abourd, and Bishop Biguzzi of Makeni for helping secure the release of Brother Bradshaw.
