Johannesburg - South African police said yesterday they had suspended six more police officers in a stepped-up inquiry after a BBC television documentary showed police severely beating handcuffed crime suspects.
The move brings to 11 the number of officers suspended since the documentary was screened a week ago, but a police spokeswoman said further action would await a separate inquiry.
