Gardaí are today questioning a man (20) in connection with the seizure of 5,000 ecstasy tablets in Ennis, Co Clare.
The man was stopped and searched on the Limerick Road at around 9.00pm yesterday by gardaí taking part in Operation Anvil.
A small amount of herbal cannabis was found on the man. During a follow-up search of a house in the Co Clare town, around 5,000 ecstasy tablets with a potential street value of up to €50,000 were discovered.
The man is being questioned at Ennis Garda Station under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act.
