Twenty seven bank officials arrived at the National Lottery headquarters in Dublin yesterday to collect a £1,000,000 cheque for their Lotto jackpot.

They were part of a syndicate of 31 from the AIB in Castle Street, Tralee, who had the winning ticket for last Saturday night's draw.

The group have played together for five years, spending £5 each month.

The group organiser, Ms Catherine Slattery, bought the winning multi draw ticket in Sheehy's shop, Ballyduff, Co Kerry.

Each member of the group wins about £32,000.

There were 10 men and 21 women in the group ranging in age from 20 to 60.
