A man who received neck and back injuries when a lorry drove into the back of a car in which he was a passenger was awarded £29,000 in Cork Circuit Court.
Terence Connolly, of Elm Lawn, Muskerry Estate, Ballincollig, sued the owners of the truck, B & C Transport Ltd, of Ratcormack, Co Cork.
The court was told that he had over 140 physiotherapy sessions since his accident three years ago.
The injuries were aggravated earlier this year when he was assaulted by raiders in an off licence.
