Vienna - At least 20,000 protesters gathered in Vienna yesterday for an anti-racist demonstration seen as a show of opposition to the right-wing extremist Mr Jorg Haider. Earlier in the day Mr Haider, whose Freedom Party became Austria's second party in last month's election, expressed his regrets for past controversial comments.
