Freetown - The high court in Freetown yesterday sentenced 14 people, including a woman and former ministers, to death and jailed Sierra Leone's former president, Mr Joseph Momoh, for 10 years. Mr Momoh and two fellow accused were found guilty of conspiracy on Wednesday after the judge ruled out a charge linked to treason. Five were acquitted and the remaining accused in the three-month mass trial were found guilty of treason. The trial followed the ousting in February of a military junta which ruled the West African country for 10 months.
