10 shots fired at Belfast house

Police are hunting a gang who fired at least 10 shots at a house in the Ardoyne area in north Belfast.

Police are hunting a gang who fired at least 10 shots at a house in the Ardoyne area in north Belfast.

A number of windows in the house in Jamaica Street were shattered. A man and woman in their 20s were inside but escaped injury.

A rifle and shotgun are believed to have been used in the attack at around 2.50am, and three men are believed to have carried out the shooting.

A motive for the attack has not yet been established.

Elsewhere, a man (32) was stabbed in the back while walking along the Springfield Road in Belfast with two friends at around 1am. His condition is not believed to be life threatening.
