Etihad to fly to Maldives
Etihad has announced it will start flights to the Maldives in time for the 2011/12 winter season. A daily return service will operate from Abu Dhabi to Malé daily, starting from November 1st. “We expect the services will appeal to Irish leisure travellers, particularly with the strong connectivity options,” said James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ chief executive officer. “In fact, Irish travellers can take advantage of our overnight flights in both directions, offering them a full extra day in the Maldives.”
Management guru for Kelly’s
The Irish-born management guru Charles Handy is to give a series of motivational talks next week in Kelly's of Rosslare. Kildare-born Handy (78) has has made his name writing books about styles of management and how workers should adopt to a changing world. His publications include The Empty Raincoat, The Gods of Managementand The Age of Unreason.He is also the founder of the London Business School.
Mr Handy will be at Kelly’s between Monday and Wednesday.
Kelly’s owner Bill Kelly said he had adopted Handy’s thinking in running the hotel which had a 90 per cent room occupancy rate in 2010.
