Meet the Go Wild judges
Arminta Wallace, Fionn Davenport, Roisin Finlay, Dawson Stelfox
The judges in The Irish Times Best Place to Go Wild in Ireland competition are:
Irish Times columnist and author of The Lonely Planet Guide to Ireland
“I’ve worked on many a Lonely Planet guide to Ireland, but I expect to be inundated with great adventures I didn’t know anything about.”
Editor of Outsider Magazine
“A wild experience doesn’t have to be radical, or even particularly remote. It’s about going down the road that wasn’t on your route.”
Irish Times journalist and walker
“The best place to go wild in Ireland will be a place where you can experience nature at its most tranquil or its most spectacular.”
Northern Irish mountaineer and the first Irishman to climb Everest
“Going wild for me is about being enclosed by natural or wild landscape as opposed to being aware of the built environment."
The judging sessions will be chaired by Irish Times Features Editor Conor Goodman, who will cast a vote only in the event of a tie.
