IT'S A FREE WORLD:A NUMBER of Irish hotels are offering tempting deals that include freebies this summer.
In the Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa in Sligo a family of four (two adults and two children under 12) can spend two nights in a family room from €420. This includes a buffet breakfast each morning, dinner for the family in the Classiebawn Restaurant on an evening of your choice, one hour’s beach ride for two children with Island View Riding Stables, access to a leisure club, and a thermal suite session for the parents. The Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny, a Flynn hotel, is offering five nights accommodation with breakfast each morning and dinner on two evenings of your choice, an hour’s pony trekking for two children at Warrington Equestrian Centre with a picnic basket from reception to enjoy on the way.
Also included is a family one-day pass to the nearby Castlecomer Discovery Park, a €25 voucher for the hotel’s spa and use of the Crazy Cats Kids’ Club which is open daily.
Families who check in on Sunday can have all this from €299 per adult sharing while during the week it costs from €339 per adult sharing. See flynnhotels.com.
The Castlerosse Hotel and Golf Resort in Killarney, Co Kerry is including children’s meals free of charge. A three-night dinner and B&B package in July/August costs €479 for a family of four sharing a room. There is a supervised kids’ club and a range of activities for kids aged 11 years upwards. IF YOU stay a minimum of two nights B&B at the five-star Le Meridien Penina Golf and Resort near Portimao, Portugal it will include one buffet dinner per person for every two nights stayed, excluding drinks. Other things included are free shuttle to the beach club in Alvor until September 30th, free use of beach club facilities and free entrance to the hotel’s kids’ club (Penguin Village) for children aged between three and 12.
There’s also free accommodation for children under 12 who are sharing with parents.
The resort has 360 acres of gardens and has the largest outdoor swimming pool in Portugal as well as six tennis courts, football pitches and a fitness and running trail, spa treatments and access to the Sir Henry Cotton championship golf course.
For four nights from August 30th to September 2nd it costs €589 per person for two adults and one child under 12 with a 20 per cent discount for a twin/double with mountain view.
