RTÉ journalist Yvonne Judge warns about security at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

"Aer Lingus still flies into the quaint retro Terminal 1 of Charles de Gaulle. Although the terminal itself has improved immeasurably in terms of facilities, watch out for a foible of the security on departure.

"Make sure you have your little liquids already ensconced in a regulation-size plastic bag before you head off on the colon-like underground escalator that brings you out to the satellite boarding gate.

"Unlike most other airport security stations, this one does not provide plastic bags. You will be told to return to the main area of the terminal and buy a bag at the Relay newsagent. This seems to be a secret, as the shop neither displays nor advertises bags. Ask and you shall receive, but you may have missed your flight by then. At least you will get fit running the two kilometres back to the boarding gate."
