Dublin’s getting a new fortnightly market, starting next Sunday, May 13th, at the Dublin Food Co-op, 12 Newmarket Square, Dublin 8.
Look out for art by Marianne Wolf, a Frenchwoman who paints gesso on wood animal icons, such as the image pictured here. She’s unveiling her new collection of GAA All-stars with animal faces on the day. Nanny Goats Design is a stall run by Christiana Falsaperla, an Italian who makes her own handbags from Indian leather. Prices start from €50.
There is a vast array of good things to eat: organic vegetarian Greek bites, Spanish tortillas, African doughnuts, Arabic teas and a stand where you can buy Japanese breads, green tea and home-grown Japanese vegetables.
Kids will love the Happy City Samba Band who will do a donation-charge Samba workshop for kids – you pay what you want at the end of the performance. Doors open at 11am.
