Routes to avoid around the country this week
DUBLIN: No entry to Kilshane Rd at Kilshane Cross until Friday July 22 during realignment of Kilshane Rd where it adjoins new N2-Finglas to Ashbourne Rd; alternative routes to Blanchardstown, Mulhuddart, Castleknock: M50/N3 Navan Rd; N2/ Ward Cross/Ward Rd/Church Rd/ Cruiserath Rd/ Blanchardstown Rd North.
Yellow Walls Rd, Malahide closed up Millview Rd/Sea Rd junction until August 31 for works; diversions via Swords/ Malahide Rd, Estuary Rd.
East Wall Rd traffic restrictions for about four weeks for upgrade to junction pending completion Port Tunnel northbound from Point Depot; no entry to Alexandra Rd from East Wall Rd; all port-bound traffic to turn right at Tolka Quay Rd; traffic to Alfie Byrne Rd as usual; south-bound traffic from Fairview Pk or Alfie Byrne Rd - all traffic except HGVs heading for East Link bridge or North Wall Quay turns right onto East Rd and follows diversion signs; no right turn to south-bound stretch of East Wall Rd at junction with Tolka Quay Rd; all port bound traffic may continue into port along Tolka Quay Rd; HGV to P&O Ferries Freight Yard, East Link bridge or North Wall Quay to follow diversion along Tolka Quay Rd, right onto Branch Rd North, then right onto Alexandra Rd, then left onto East Wall Rd (southbound); southbound traffic from port must exit port via Alexandra Rd; North city bound traffic from port (in direction of Alfie Byrne Rd or Fairview Pk) to exit port via Tolka Quay Rd; no left turn (southbound) movement from Tolka Quay Rd to East Wall Rd.
MEATH: Works on Main St, Enfield, to Friday; use bypass.
WICKLOW: South-bound N11 at Newtownmountkennedy single lane 6am-4pm daily until late July; two lanes after 4pm for rush-hour traffic, but 50km/h limit in place.
CORK: Western slip road from South Douglas Rd to South City Link Rd closed 9.30am-8pm until Friday for works on bus lane.
GALWAY: Major works on N6 between Derrydonnell and Craughwell until end of August.
LIMERICK: Overnight works on Shannonbridge 7.30pm-6.30am to Friday.
No access to Clancy Strand from Ennis Rd to about mid-August for drainage works.
LAOIS: Works on N80 Main St, Stradbally from Stradbally River Bridge to Athy Rd junction to end of Semptember.
OFFALY: Works on N80 Moate to Tullamore Rd from Monday to Thursday until about end of July.
Single lane on Ferbane River Bridge to about next Monday.
TIPPERARY: Works to mid-August on N7 between Bushfield and Ballywilliam, about halfway between Nenagh and Birdhill; delays up to 20 mins.
CLARE: Works on N18 south of Bunratty until Wednesday August 31; Limerick-Shannon and Shannon-Limerick carriageways both reduced to single lanes; long delays expected especially 7am-10am and 4pm-7pm.
SLIGO: Diversion in area south of Hughes Bridge (Queens Store Rd) for tie-in new inner relief road with bridge; diversions via Lynn's Place, Pirn Mill Rd and Ballast Quay.
