PORSCHE HAS revealed the four-wheel-drive versions of the new 911, with the Carrera 4 S taking the lion’s share of the headlines, thanks to its impressive 395bhp power output and 4.1-second 0-100kmh run time.

The new Carrera 4 is wider than the standard 911, growing by 22mm across the shoulders, and it gets the now traditional full-width red reflector between the tail lights. Despite the extra weight of the four-wheel-drive system, Porsche claims that the Carrera 4 is now 65kg lighter than before, with average fuel economy of better than 30mpg.
